The foyer opens directly onto this large living room, with a fireplace and bookcases on the left and three pretty pairs of french doors straight ahead. We decided not to do curtains in this room because the dark wood trim makes quite a statement. We wanted to create a lot of relaxed seating, so there are two sofas and club chairs, a few pairs of ottomans and chairs, and a bench for pull-up seating when there is a crowd. The client wanted orange used in a pretty big way, so we carried it throughout the house. In this room, we used ivory sofas with periwinkle blue and orange colors on the pillows and smaller pieces. Sometimes a little bit of color goes a long way...
