Question: It seems like designers don't use bathmats in bathrooms. Is that true? I am scared to actually use a nice rug since we take showers and step on the rug while we are wet! How do you handle this for clients?
Phoebe's Answer: I do like to have a rug in the bathroom sometimes, but I do not like bath mats in a bathroom as a permanent fixture. Remember, this is just my opinion, not a rule. I treat a bath mat like a towel. I throw it on the floor and wash it every time with the towels. When there is a rug in the room, I just throw the bath mat on top of the rug when I need it.
