Question: "My question is about using mirrors -- antique vs. modern, used as decoration vs. function, as a sometimes low-cost way to accessorize, etc. Do you like a lot of mirrors or do you think people tend to overuse them?"
Phoebe’s Answer: I think I am the guiltiest of anybody of overusing mirrors. They are often inexpensive and an easier solution than artwork or prints. Obviously I love to hang them over beds, and love to use clustered in groupings with other pictures. I think mirrors can be a good, temporary investment while you are searching for the perfect piece of art. I like the sparkle. I like the reflection. You get a lot of bang for the buck with a mirror.
