While we carry many wonderful vendors at Mrs. Howard and Max & Company, Phoebe and Jim often design their own furniture and accessories. Frequently, it begins with a need for a client project, and usually Phoebe ends up loving it so much that she decides to offer it in the stores as well. Beds are Phoebe's specialty and the item that receives the most requests, although her coffee table-ottoman combo is the latest must-have item in our stores!
As for accessories, we are always looking for something that uniquely says "Mrs. Howard." A number of years ago, Phoebe began designing and selling her own lamps when she could not find what she wanted at market. Now, they are one of our most popular items. Many of you have asked when we will post lamps on the blog, and unfortunately, they change so often in our stores that the inventory fluctuates too much to post on here. Just another reason to come see our stores in person!
Pillows are another item that receive the personal touch from Phoebe. She is an incredible seamstress and constantly creates new flourishes and combinations for her pillows. They are also very popular with our customers since they quickly and easily freshen up any room.
